2nd one I've had in the last 5 years as we moved house and I didn't have space for original one. Only only downside is that it could do with some gripping feet for carpet and my knees hit the adjustment screw under the wheel all the time but otherwise these are great. (Highly recommend getting the seat slider by the way)

The product is good as described. I would have given 5 stars but I had to go to Home Depot to purchase Bolts as some were missing and 1 was the wrong size and painted the wrong colour for it's type. The adjustability of the Pedals and the distance/height of the control stand is excellent. Sad though that there are no Pre-Drilled holes for Saitek Yokes and Rudder Pedals. Though not "docking" points as this was never stated to be a feature. Nothing a Drill Press can't solve in 10 minutes. Great for flight Sims!! Just need to drill the holes :)

We enjoy this play seat very much!!
No more folding table falling over accident (we used to mount the steering wheel on a small folding table). -
Shipping was superfast and professional. The Playseat is very easy to put together and it is very stable. With the wide range of adjustability, it was easy finding the sweet spot for my comfort. This was a great purchase.

If you have the room to dedicate to a seat system, this would be the one. Very adjustable and sturdy. So nice not to have any unwanted movement relative to the seat. The seat could use a bit of lower back bolstering, but a small pillow was the fix. Makes the racing experience more enveloping. In short, it's Awsome.

I bought this with the additional seat slider. Easy to set up very solid. No wobble when playing. I’ve also removed the steering while and had the thrust master joystick and throttle on the stand which added a bit more to games like Star Wars Squadrons and Ace combat(especially in VR). There are cheaper cockpits but they are reputed to be not as solid as this. Seat is comfortable too.

Bought this as I have been eyeing up a racing seat for yonks!
Some have said it takes a long time to build, but for me it only took 30mins and was very simple and easy to do. Instructions were clear enough and to be honest you don't really need to follow them to build it, it's that simple.
Seat is comfy to play in for a long while, I've played for a good 2hr and a half in one session and only stopped as the wife wanted to go out :p
Paired with the thrustmaster t300 and f1 wheel add-on and playing F1 2017 is makes for a great experience!
It would be nice if it folded up a bit more, as it is quite bulky and does take up a bit of room. -
It’s so good!
Had to sell old chair and stand to get this small cockpit. Very comfortable and easily adjustable
Con: a little lower on the ground but better than too high up -
This seat has a great design and it's comfortable. It has solid construction and is extremely sturdy. I'm 6'1" and weigh 230lbs. I have no issues reaching the brake pedal with my right foot. I also purchase the seat slider attachment to make it easier and quicker to change the distance from the seat and pedals. This seat really puts you into the game and the car you're racing. Excellent product.

Solid design and construction. Gussets welded properly. Only complaint is either paint or powder coating on recessed threads in bottom of chair in which plates mount. Easily rectified by running cap screw all the way in prior to final assembly to remove paint/powder coating. Screw on one side had excessive tolerance in major minor diameter of threads. Did not mic out threads, but a suggestion would be to use Nylok fasteners instead of supplied fasteners with thread locker. Would make disassembly easier and cleaner. Overall very well done! Would certainly consider buying other products from Playseat due to outstanding quality.

It’s a really good set up tbh for the price

I am not a giant, nor am I going to have to buy two tickets to fly anywhere... I'm a 6' tall standard guy a little over 200 pounds. With that being said, this seat is a perfect fit for me... the additional pedal and steering wheel holders - are NOT. I waited months to buy this seat, drooling over it for quite some time since I'm a car guy and I've owned several muscle cars like Shelby GT500's etc, but where I live the winters are LONG and I thought this would be an amazing escape from the boring bland days when you can't exactly take a 600 horsepower showroom condition car outside - and the seat really came through in that regard. I just won't ever be able to find a "right" way to situation the steering wheel and the pedals so that I am not crammed up, trying to get through Gran Turismo like a T-Rex driving a baby Mazda Miata.
All in all, it's a quality piece that I don't "regret" whatsoever... if I had to make the purchase again, I suppose I would - the "fun" factor is AMAZING, but... come on, charging ANOTHER $50 for a "gear shift holder" on top of the price of the seat, and all the assembly and zip-ties needed, not to mention the aforementioned T-Rex position I drive in, this seat is ALMOST A 4-STAR product, but I can't honestly bring myself to give it a full four.
PROS:
-It is just plain FUN (it truly enhances the feel of the game WITH surround sound, and Gran Turismo's settings up on the engine rev)
-it is built well
CONS:
-Far too limited on places I can adjust steering wheel to (I constantly end up feeling like I'm in a go-cart powered by a lawn mower engine)
-THE STEERING WHEEL is a joke (Logitech G27, it is FAR too small, but that doesn't directly coincide with this product)
-SO... MANY... WIRES...!
If you care THAT much to watch hundreds of dollars go in exchange for this seat, knowing it won't be perfect, then do it. Like I said, I'm not "upset" or "regretful" I bought it, but with the major improvements that could be made, it seems they've had enough years manufacturing them to just get it right. -
Lovely comfortable seat. A little on the small side. I am 6'1 and the seat only goes up to my neck. Also the structure only allows you to break left footed which is a bit of a design flaw.
-
This is a really good piece of kit. Easy to put together and feels very solid.
It has multiple position setup - you can slide the seat further or closer to the pedals. You can slide the wheel away from you. The pedal unit has a tilt function so you can have them then tilted up towards you or flatter if you prefer.
It comes with some very string sticky back Velcro so holds my wheel and pedals firmly in place. The mounts for wheel and pedal come with a variety of drill holes, so is possible to bolt your controls in place if that is an option on your setup.
It has a nice bucket seat feel and good lumber support. It is very low, which took a bit of getting used to. I managed to tilt my monitor screen down and now feels very realistic. It's added a new level of realism to me playing F1 2020 game. Love it! -
Overall I like the rig, it looks nice, it’s pretty solid, and was easy to assemble. I had to create a bracket to raise my wheel up about 5 inches to be in comfortable position. The adjustment either is higher/closer or lower/farther.
-
If you are a gamer or have a gamer in your life, this is perfect. We had purchased a steering wheel and tried to use it without the chair. It was hard to be comfortable and enjoy playing for long periods of time. The seat is exceedingly comfortable and supports your back while giving you a good angle on the TV. Adjusting the steering wheel and pedals easily is huge also. This is still a new purchase but I hope it continues to be as good as it now.
-
I have had this seat a while now and I absolutely love this thing.
Super comfortable and was easy to set up. everything slides together quick and easy and the centre tubing is great for hiding all the wires.
Its sturdy and doesnt move at all for me and with the adjustable feet and positions it doesnt matter how tall you are its all adjustable.
I dont know why I took so long to buy one I love it -
This playseat was super easy to put together and surprisingly very sturdy. With the 3 basic adjustment points, you are able to get everything positioned exactly how you want it, I currently use a logitech G29 set and it is great. However if you use a manual shifter or handbrake, you will need to buy the mount separately.
-
Very good product quality. Comfortable and easy to handle and store.

If you're serious about driving in the game, this seat is a must have! It is so cool to have the wheel and pedals bolted down instead of everything moving around on your lap or on the floor. The only draw back is the bar that holds the wheel is in a tight spot. Placing the pedals in the right area on the plate for automatic or manual is the key. The G27 manual wheel works perfect with this seat, but keep in mind if you get the seat, be sure to get the shifter holder and assemble them together. It is sold seperate from the seat.
-
Like the way it was packed each part was wrapped separately .
-
First of all setup was super easy, literally took maybe 15 minutes, all of my thrustmaster equipment fit perfectly. Once I got everything setup and fitted to my liking I can drive for hours. Everything feels stable, looks nice, easy to move around, and feels durable.
I went from a wheel stand to this cockpit and haven't looked back, this is easily the best purchase I have made in a while. Driving feels more natural.
I highly recommend the playseat evolution for its ease of setup, price, and overall quality. -
Although I didn’t get all the twist knobs to adjust the chair I was lucky enough to have a extra knob and ended up loving the seat after getting it together eventually. Very comfy and sturdy, The structure doesn’t move much and makes it good for rally drifting and racing. Highly recommend!

This seat is very sturdy and comfortable. My only complaint is that the back is a little too straight. I solved this with an inexpensive mesh lumbar support.
The quality is excellent. I didn't find any defects in the welds or the stitching. It was easy to assemble and doesn't feel flimsy at all.
Having the wheel and pedals stay in place makes it easier to play. The plate that holds the pedals is anchored at the bottom, so will flex a bit due to leverage when you press the pedals hard, but I got used to that pretty quickly. The support for the wheel doesn't move around at all. I didn't get the optional shifter mount since my wheel has paddle shifters.
The seat is comfortable to use for long periods. The cushions are firm and supportive. The bottom cushion lifts off so you can vaccuum under it, which is handy when you have pets that like to sleep on it.
The seat is a velvety fabric with leather on the headrest, and leather accents at your shoulders and thighs. "Playseat" is embroidered in the headrest, a nice touch to add to the feeling of sitting in an expensive race car. -
Well manufactured, making it very easy to set up.
Have absolutely no issues with it, except one thing....
I am using the Thrustmaster T3PA pedals, and while technically this seat is compatible with them, in reality, it is not.
The middle bar, that holds up the base, gets in the way of the brake pedal, simple as. I'm 5′11″, so it's not like the pedals are stupidly close to the chair or anything, and I have to bend my left foot around the bar to get to the pedal. It's not too uncomfortable, but after a while my ankle starts to ache.
Thankfully, I'm only playing F1 games at the minute, so I simply switched the brake and clutch on my pedal set.
But if you are planning to use all 3 pedals when racing, this is not the chair for you. -
I was pleasantly surprised at the weight the frame, I knew being steel it would be heavy. But this feels like industry level steel that isn't gonna bend or flex at all which is nice...
My only issue is although the extra 8mm bolts allowed me to hard mount my G920 wheel, my Fanatec CSL Elite Pedals only have through holes, and the Fanatec nuts and bolts are slightly too big to fit through the holes and slits in the pedal plate.
So if you have CSL Elite pedals, (or any Fanatec pedals) make sure you have some M8 (8mm) nuts laying around.
Additionally non of the holes and slots on the pedal plate allow for more than secure points, I'm sure with the sturdiness of both the CSL Elite pedals and the Playseat frame 2 bolts will be enough. But it'd be nice to get 3 or 4 bolts in, for ease of mind. -
This chair is amazingly comfortable for the price and it's is small for storage!

Coming from a wheel stand I was ready to upgrade to a cockpit that could be broken down for space. After days of watching and reading reviews I settled on the evolution. Setup was super easy and quick. Seat is comfortable as far as I can tell after an hour of use. I can easily use the 3 pedals on my g29 as the center bar doesn’t interfere at all. I’m 6’1 and 160 and I fit just fine after some fine tuning. Would recommend the seat slider to make getting ready quicker. Didn’t order the mat and for flex on carpet is nothing alarming but is some. For an entry level cockpit that space could be an issue I’d recommend the evolution.

I bought this l along with the Gearshift Holder Pro to mount my Logitech G920 and Driving Force Shifter. It was delivered quickly and assembly was straightforward. The seat, pedals, and wheel are exceedingly adjustable and the seat can comfortably fit kids and adults. The folding mechanism in the seat is also very practical and makes storing it effortless. Adding onto this, the Alcantara finish feels premium and helps make the chair tremendously comfortable. Additionally, the Gearshift Holder Pro is an extremely solid piece of kit and does not flex at all when shifting. However, the seat is not perfect and has a couple drawbacks. The first drawback is the small amount of flex on the pedal mount. It is barely noticeable except for under hard braking so if you are mounting a heavier load cell you may need to reinforce it. The second drawback is the chair squeaks if you move around in it. It too is barely noticeable unless you are exerting an immense amount of force onto the brakes, causing your back to push into the seat. Overall, the seat has a premium feel and is an excellent beginner cockpit. It has all the features you need, and for the $279.99 I got it for, it is an excellent deal.

I've been using this rig for about 2 months now and it has not let me down. It does have some flex to it which is to be expected of a rig for this price. I have had to tighten the pedal base once but other than that it has been solid. My only complaints are that after a couple hours my back is sore but that is probably more of a problem on my end. Lastly I find that the way I like to have my wheel and pedals adjusted the center beam for the wheel can get in the way of my right leg/foot for heel toeing. If this is something you plan on doing you might want to consider a rig that does not have a beam in the middle. It is still do able if you adjust how the wheel is mounted but I would imagine different people would have different results. Overall it is a solid choice if you are getting into sim racing like I was and it seems like it will last me many years and configurations of gear.

Great chair even for tall people like me. I'm 1.92m myself and fit easily in this chair. The chair is solid, has a perfect racing position and offers a lot of comfort. The backrest can be folded in half so that the chair does not take up much space. In short, an ideal racing chair for little money.
